Edging

We edge the driveway with a line trimmer. The grass is trimmed far enough back so as to reveal all edges of the asphalt, so we can completely seal your driveway. If there are any weeds in the cracks, the trimmer will also take care of these, without the damaging effects that certain weed killer products can cause to your asphalt. Back to Top

Dirt/Debris

We clean off all dirt and debris from your driveway with a wire broom. This includes the dirt at the edges of the drive, particularly where it builds up near the street. After using the brush, we use a powerful industrial strength 8 horsepower blower to get rid of any access debris. Back to Top

Cold Patching

We can cold patch small holes, up to about 1-2' wide and 4-5" deep. They need to be at least 2" deep and 3" wide. The reason for this is that the cold patch will not stay in smaller holes. It must be a hole, not a dip caused by water drainage. These require tearing out of asphalt, which we do not have the capabilities for. Call us for recommended paving and asphalt companies. There may be an extra charge for cold patching, depending on the size of the hole. You will be informed of this before we perform the extra work. Back to Top

Oil Stains

Heavy oil stained areas are primed so the sealer will adhere to the surface. New and deep stains will sometimes remain visible because of the smoother texture of the built up layers of sealer. Heavy or newer (less than a month old) oil stains may bleed through even when primed. Back to Top

Cracks

We apply filler to MAJOR CRACKS in the asphalt 1/4 inch wide to 3/4 inch wide and squeegee this material out. There may be an extra charge for larger cracks. Crack filler is initially darker but tones out fairly well within a few weeks. The filler will settle slightly as is dries. We do not apply filler to the space at the garage cement floor or edge cracks. For this, we recommend hot pour crackfilling, which we offer for an additional cost. Crackfilling does not include edge breaks or alligatored areas. We then apply one coat of high quality sealer by squeegee. This is a heavy material, but it will settle into pits and cracks as it dries, especially hairline cracks. Back to Top

This is what a typical driveway looks like just before sealing. We block off any traffic with bright yellow flagging tape and a PRS sign.
